The BRAND Rubber Pipette Bulb is a classic, high-quality liquid handling accessory manufactured from premium natural rubber, designed for safe and precise pipetting with both single-metric (volumetric) and graduated (serological) glass or plastic pipettes. By replacing hazardous mouth-pipetting routines, this durable suction bulb acts as an essential laboratory safety device, protecting operators from direct contact with corrosive fluids, toxic solutions, and hazardous bio-agents.
Featuring an intelligent universal adapter cone, the bulb provides a secure, airtight seal with all standard pipette styles up to 100 mL in capacity. The entire liquid aspiration, meniscus alignment, and delivery process are managed seamlessly via a three-way valve control system. Each valve contains a chemical-resistant glass ball that opens the air channel only when pinched gently between the thumb and forefinger, guaranteeing smooth, micro-controlled handling.
Product Highlights:
-
Premium Natural Rubber: Offers exceptional elasticity, resilience, and heavy-duty protection against chemical degradation, preventing cracking and maintaining a consistent vacuum for years.
-
Intuitive 3-Valve System: Employs three integrated ball valves (A, S, and E) that utilize elastic rubber forces to manage air evacuation, fluid aspiration, and targeted dispensing.
-
Powerful Suction Capacity: The robust wall thickness creates a high-grade interior vacuum capable of quickly lifting larger fluid volumes without experiencing air locks or unexpected fluid backflow.
-
Universal Fitting Cone: Flexible neck adapter accommodates various diameter specifications of conventional volumetric and graduated pipettes seamlessly.
-
Multidisciplinary Lab Aid: Extensively utilized across industrial mineral testing, agricultural analytics, food and beverage safety control, chemical laboratories, and academic institutions.
Valve Operation Framework:
The pipette bulb features three designated valve points labeled with letters, regulating the workflow sequence:
-
Valve A (Air - Evacuation): Positioned at the top of the main bulb. Pinching Valve A while squeezing the main rubber body expels air from the interior, generating a continuous working vacuum.
-
Valve S (Suction - Aspiration): Located on the vertical neck just above the pipette connection. Pressing Valve S activates the internal vacuum, pulling the liquid upward into the attached work tube at a highly regulated velocity.
-
Valve E (Empty - Discharge): Situated on the lateral side tube. Pinching Valve E permits atmospheric air entry, utilizing gravity to accurately drop and dispense the liquid out of the pipette into the receiving vessel.
